Battery-electric Volvo drivers will soon be able to use the Volvo Range Assistant app to help them optimize their range. The “Range Assistant App” embedded in the Android-based infotainment system shows the remaining range and real-time energy consumption. The app, published as a beta version, informs the driver how he can positively influence the range through his driving style and speed, for example, and adjusts the air conditioning in favor of the range. The app is also intended to improve battery management and regeneration performance.
Volvo Range Assistant app is already available
Owner of a Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric receive the app with the next over-the-air update, the app is already installed on the new C40 Recharge Pure Electric. The upcoming update also includes improvements to safety systems and new information about the effects of cold weather on battery range.
