But now the British are putting their 5,32 meters long luxury sedan on the displacement diet: As already from SUV-Model Bentayga There will be a hybrid version of the Flying Spur from the end of 2021, whose drive combines a 2,9-liter V6 petrol engine with an electric motor integrated in the transmission tunnel.

Now also as a hybrid

The Bentley Flying Spur flies despite its weight

The six-cylinder unleashes 306 kW / 416 hp and 550 Newton meters of torque. In conjunction with the 100 kW / 136 PS and 400 Newton meter strong electric motor, there are 400 kW / 544 PS and 750 Newton meters of system output. This enables the 2,5-tonne luxury Brit to sprint from standstill to 100 km / h in 4,3 seconds and a top speed of 285 km / h. The electric motor not only supports, but can also drive the Flying Spur on its own. Thanks to a 14,1 kWh battery, this should be possible up to 40 kilometers. It takes two and a half hours to charge the battery.

Bentley is continuing its e-strategy with the hybrid versions of the Flying Spur that have now been presented. From 2026 onwards, Bentleys will only be offered with electrified drives and, from 2030, the combustion engine will be abandoned for good.
