To ensure that the Corsa OPC not only accelerates vigorously, but also drives quickly through the bend, it gets adaptive shock absorbers from the specialist Koni. In addition, the body is lowered by one centimeter and the steering adjusted. Special sports settings are available for traction control and ESP, and the driving aids can also be switched off completely. In addition, particularly sporty drivers can order a performance package with a mechanical differential lock, special high-performance tires and an optional Brembo brake. The optional upgrade should also make the "Nürburgring Edition" of the old Corsa OPC, which was recently offered in small editions, obsolete. The offered similar technology and an engine upgraded to 155 kW / 210 PS.

The new, strongest Corsa can be recognized at first glance by a wide hood on the bonnet and extra large air intakes below the radiator grille. The appearance is complemented by wide sills, a roof edge spoiler and a diffuser flanked by two tailpipes. Inside there are Recaro sports seats, sports pedals and a leather steering wheel flattened at the bottom.

When the small OPC comes onto the market in spring, it encounters an illustrious field of competitors. These include VW Polo GTI, Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTI, Renault Clio RS and the future Mini Cooper JCW. They cover a price range of around 20.000 to 30.000 euros. The Opel should rank in the middle.
