In the sacred halls of Pagani in San Cesario sul Panera, near Modena, in northern Italy, the Huayra comes to life. Argentinian Horacio Pagani, who started out as a carbon specialist at Lamborghini and Ferrari, has set up his studio for limited-edition super sports cars in San Cesario sul Panera.
The making-of video is accompanied by light piano sounds that fit perfectly with the overall composition of the noble manufacturer. A dream car is born, or as Horacio Pagani describes it himself:
“So everything had to come together as if it was a car carved out of a block of Carrara marble …”
Carbotanium supercar
Super fast pieces of Italian design art are created by hand. In the factory, the body and chassis parts are carbonized or baked in special ovens. Each body is a masterpiece, it consists of a combination of titanium and carbon, the carbotanium. It is the toughest material that has ever been used in a vehicle.
This material is also used on the Pagani Huayra Roadster. Pagani's head of composites is Maurizio Ferrari. He and his team work with great attention to detail on the genesis of each Pagani.

If the coupe costs the stately sum of 1,06 million euros, you have to pay more than twice as much for the roadster. This costs 2,28 million euros (plus taxes). 100 copies of the Huayra are to be built, all of which have already been sold.
