Revised Peugeot 208: Lifted up

Brings from June Peugeot the 208 in a revised version to the dealers. The 208, which is available as a three- and five-door model, now appears slightly wider in the front, and the rear is adorned with standard LED taillights in a “3D claw design”. In the higher equipment levels, further optical changes are included, so newly designed headlights are used, the grille now has a 3D effect. New light alloy rims, the metallic paint "Orange Power" and other customization packages are also available. Assistance systems such as a city emergency brake, reversing camera or parking assistant can now be booked as an option.

The previous diesel units will be replaced by 6-liter Euro 1,6-capable engines, all of which emit less than 95 grams of CO2 / km. There are likely to be three power levels to choose from: According to the manufacturer, the 75 and 100 PS variants use 3,0 liters / 100 km (79 grams CO2 / km) in the extremely fuel-efficient versions, the 88 kW / 120 PS diesel has 94 grams CO2 / km from. A new three-cylinder engine with turbocharger has been added to the petrol engines, producing 81 kW / 110 hp. In addition, a six-speed automatic transmission is now available instead of an automated manual transmission.

Because Peugeot wants to position itself higher as a brand, the French will offer more options in the future: Between the upper equipment levels and the sporty GTi version, the new GT Line ranks based on "Allure" visual (including aluminum rims, chrome tailpipe) and functional (including sports seats, sports steering wheel) bonds to the GTi version. It is available for three- and five-door models with the larger engines.
