Porsche 356 No. 1 Roadster World Tour - 70 years of Porsche

It all started at Porsche with the Porsche 356 No. 1 Roadster. It was the linchpin for an extensive model series "Made in Germany". With this vehicle, Ferry Porsche implemented his vision of a road sports car in a former sawmill in Gmünd, Austria.

The No. 1 represents a piece of company history. In order to shape the 70-year history of Porsche with this vehicle, they toured all over the world. The 356 was also a guest at a number of events.

A detailed replica of the 356 body from 1948 was specially developed for the World Tour. A show car was created using a 3D scanner and many original photos. Even the original color was reproduced down to the last detail in the second exhibit.

46.854 kilometers in the Porsche 356 No. 1 Roadster

Both vehicles, the original as well as the replica, took turns traveling around the world. From the start in Berlin it went through the Czech Republic, Poland to South Africa. Later there were appearances in Goodwood, in the Bernese Alps and on the west coast of California, Porsche's second home, so to speak.

Via Vancouver, Toronto and after a detour to China we went back to Germany. So came for that Porsche 356 No. 1 Roadster a total of 46.854 kilometers. It went a bit for the show car. It traveled the world and put 53.898 kilometers on the odometer.
