But, the FIAT 500 was so well received by buyers that it was considered in Turin, why shouldn't the FIAT 500 make an entire family happy?

Fiat 500L Living: The fun begins to seventh!

The Living should be as variable as a mini-van. Offer space for 5 +2. And still benefit from the friendly smile and visual quirkiness of the original 500. That's a lot of wishes at once. Time to take a closer look at the “long 500”.

FIAT 500 L Living - the first contact

The Fiat 500 L was already the “maxi version” of the previously small retro FIAT, the Living offers even more of everything. More length, + 20 centimeters. More height +1 cm and more seats. There is space for up to seven people in the new Living and there is still a trunk left. How do they do that? At 2.61 meters, the wheelbase has remained the same length as the Fiat 500 L - only the rear overhang has grown by an additional 20 centimeters.

He wants to make the family happy

FIAT will soon be offering four engines for the Living. The much-praised two-cylinder engine with 105 hp, the small 1.3 liter turbo diesel with 85 hp and two 1.6 liter diesel variants with 105 and 120 hp. All diesels have a particle filter and each engine is coupled with an automatic start & stop. The result in the efficiency rating? All Fiat 500 L Living variants are awarded efficiency class A.

Variable and comfortable

The two equipment variants show where the journey should go: Pop-Star or Living Lounge are available as variants. Where the equipment goes through in both cases as extensive. The third row of seats with two individual seats costs 800 € extra in both cases.

However, the price list shoots the bird with the position “6WX”, because the optional Lavazza espresso machine for the center console is hidden under this Kyptian abbreviation. “Mama mia”.

The big 500 does not build on the platform of the normal FIAT 500, but resorts to the basics of the Fiat Punto. Chassis and steering are grown and with the power of the 320 Nm strong 1.6 MultiJet Diesel, things are moving forward.

The travel character of the 500 L is in the foreground and the new “real Fiat” station wagon is more geared towards lifestyle - but does not escape the practical sense. If you fold down the back seat and the passenger seat, you can also load the components of an Ikea shelf up to 2.6 meters long. In general, a happy lifestyle plays an important role. Colorful, strong and almost trendy colors are available, which can be combined with a white or black roof. This contrast combination takes some of the visual volume away from the FIAT 500 L Living and makes it stand more lively on the road.

CONCLUSION:

The new FIAT 500 L Living belongs to a whole family of new models. In addition to the original FIAT 500 and the variant with the large roll-up roof, the new L, the Living and the Trekking complete the selection.
