Hardly was the Renault Clio revised, the RS moves after - as it should be. The Renault Clio RS now has a modified front end and a new light signature with integrated daytime running lights in the form of a "C". There is also the sporty small car even after the facelift with two engines, three chassis and dozens of hours of driving pleasure. We highlight the highlights.
He should have become more dynamic. At first glance, however, the optical adjustments are striking. These include in particular the new LED auxiliary lights in the front apron of the top model of the series. They have a checkered flag design and combine different functions. In the upper area sit the fog lights and cornering light, while in the outer module, the position light dwells. In the lower part, the high beam works together with the outer segment.
It is interesting - and this trend is also evident in other small car athletes - that the Renault Clio RS is available in two performance levels. So it is similar to that Ford Fiesta ST, which is on the one hand with 180 and on the other hand, as a limited special edition, with 200 PS. The Frenchman offers as RS already the maximum performance of the ST party 200 - namely 200 hp. It has a sports chassis as standard, which can alternatively be exchanged for a cup chassis. That offers a lower center of gravity and a more rigid design.
The Renault Clio RS Trophy, on the other hand, generates even 220 hp and an even tighter design. So you are well prepared for the racetrack. The only question is whether this can also be said of the standard 6-speed dual clutch transmission. As a sports driver you like to switch gear yourself, right? Be that as it may, it is installed in both versions and also offers launch control.
All Clio RS also have in common the electronic differential lock, shift paddles on the steering wheel and the RS Drive switch. It offers the modes "Normal", "Sport" and "Race". In addition, the Sport Clios now drive up with 18-inch wheels and show off RS16 Inspired details. The Trophy also features an exhaust system by specialist Akrapovič. True to the motto: "on them with roar!"
