Seat Ibiza - Spain's Polo is getting more expensive

With prices starting from 14.240 Euro is from now on the new generation of the Seat Ibiza can be ordered. The base model of the small car is powered by a 55 kW / 75 PS strong 1,0-liter gasoline engine, features include the entry-level "Reference" 14-inch steel wheels, six airbags and central locking with remote control. If you choose the higher line "Style", you get air conditioning, media system and split folding rear seat backs. The price is then at least 16.190 Euro. In addition, the five-door is in the comfort-oriented "Xcellence" - (from 17.790 Euro) and the sporty designed "FR" variant to have. The latter are available from 18.790 Euro, but only in conjunction with the two stronger versions of the 1,0-liter engine (70 kW / 95 PS and 85 kW / 115 PS). The delivery starts in June. At the end of 2017, the 110 kW / 150 PS completes the range of powerful 1,5-liter turbo petrol engines from the VW Golf. In addition, there will be a 1,6-liter diesel with 59 kW / 80 PS, 70 kW / 95 PS and 85 kW / 110 PS.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Ibiza is bigger and more spacious, but also much more expensive. So far, the five-door was available for around 12.700 Euro. (Holger Holzer / SP-X)
