Skoda Kodiaq RS Erlkönig caught

The big Kodiaq will also come as a plug-in hybrid

The large SUV from Skoda has been on the market since 2017 and will receive a facelift this year. The optical changes will not move to the forefront of model maintenance. The front and rear areas are camouflaged on the Erlkönig, which indicates a revision of the radiator grille and bumper design.

The headlights, as the details indicate, will have a new interior - the use of matrix LEDs seems sensible. As with the smaller Kamiq SUV, the new taillights are likely to be equipped with wipers.

New infotainment from the Superb

We hope for the modern infotainment system from the group modular system, then also with Apple CarPlay Wireless and of course from the fully digital cockpit, as we know it from the new Octavia.

Kodiaq also as a plug-in hybrid?

It also makes sense to expand the range to include a plug-in hybrid drive that implements the mix that is common in the Group. A modern TSI engine that is complemented by a 6-speed DSG gearbox with an electric motor in the housing. The system performance should therefore be just under 220 PS and if you rely on the approximately 13 kW battery, according to the standard, an electrical range of just under 60 km should be possible.

The base price of the Skoda Kodiaq RS - then as PHEV - should be around 50.000 €.
