Sometimes they come back! In this case the Outlander!

Mitsubishi is bringing back the Outlander

Actually, Mitsubishi no longer wanted to offer its flagship Outlander in Germany. Now comes the turnaround.

Mitsubishi brings the Outlander back to Germany. The brand's SUV flagship will only be available with a plug-in hybrid drive from 2024. The mid-range all-wheel drive vehicle is thus returning in a new generation after a break of around two years.

The fourth Outlander edition has been on the overseas market since early 2022. Compared to the predecessor that was discontinued at the same time, the new edition has grown by four centimeters to 4,71 meters, now has a more massive front and is generally more robust. There is also a new, fully digitized one inside Cockpit with head-up display and large touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. In Germany, the up to seven-seater SUV will only be offered in an electrified version. A 2,4-liter four-cylinder petrol engine plus two electric motors provide propulsion. The battery capacity of 20 kWh should enable a standard range of more than 60 kilometers.

The originally unplanned comeback of the Outlander is part of a revitalization strategy of the manufacturer, which is actually behind its in Europe alliance partner Renault and Nissan should resign. After the new edition of the Compact crossovers ASX and the announcement of a new one compact car model the return of the flagship is the third major step in the rebuilding of the model range in Europe.
