Subaru infotainment

Subaru's infotainment has recently looked increasingly old-fashioned. Now a new generation is coming.

Subaru has introduced a new generation of its car infotainment system. The central element is a portrait-format touchscreen with a screen diagonal of up to 11,6 inches, which can be used to control numerous functions from the radio to the navigation system to the assistance systems.

Graphics and operating logic are based on the tile-shaped surface familiar from smartphones. While a status bar and the current playback are displayed in the upper area, the various apps or the map view of the navigation system can be found below, depending on the mode. The display can be partially adapted to the needs of the driver.

The new infotainment generation is celebrating its premiere in the newly launched Outback off-road station wagon. The prices for the all-wheel drive start at just under 40.000 euros.
