DISTRONIC PLUS with steering assistant. Mercedes-Benz has upgraded the adaptive cruise control system Distronic Plus into a traffic jam assistant. Up to a speed of 60 km / h, the Stop & Go pilot is able to follow the vehicle in front and relieves the driver in the most annoying everyday situations. Driving into a traffic jam becomes almost impossible!

Cross Traffic Detection for the Brake Assist. Like in the new S-Class, now also works in the new C-Class Brake Assist BAS PLUS, The system recognizes not only cross traffic but also pedestrians. Autonomous emergency braking from Tempo 50 can completely avoid an accident. Up to a speed of 72 km / h, the Mercedes men assume that an accident in its severity is significantly minimized. The system is active in the speed range between 7 and 200 km / h.
