So far, the Spaniards have mainly had plug-in hybrids and the "small" Cupra Born in the electrified model range. With the Tavascan, the next purely electric Cupra is coming our way in the coming year. Closely related to the ID.5 and the Enyag RS coupe, who benefits Tavascan from the favor of the late birth and already partly receives the new components that are also to be used in the ID.7.
The relationship to the ID.7 is also confirmed when you take a look inside Cockpit, in which the Tavascan shows the new 15-inch HMI interface (vulgo: touch display / infotainment).
Even with the critical elements such as an illuminated element, you don't want to splash out and show the first illuminated element Cupra-Logo on the front of the Tavascan.
Facts about the Tavascan
The Cupra Tavascan is based on that MEB-Construction kit of Volkswagen-Group and will be 4,64 meters long. Cupra specifies the width as 1.86 meters (without exterior mirrors!), the height as 1.60 meters and the wheelbase is 2.770 millimeters ruler stand. A time of 100 seconds is specified for the most powerful of the upcoming Tavascan, the VZ with 340 hp, from zero to 5.6 km/h. The under 2.5 seconds are impressive, but at city pace. The Battery is noted as usual with 77 kWh net. And also at the charging power of the current models of up to 135 kW is not shaken.

Viel Design, many known dates. The new cupra tavascan will, like the previous Cupra models, be able to count on a large market acceptance and should also score as the sportiest of all MEB models. The maximum 340 hp peak performance has not even one Audi SQ4 model (not communicated yet!) received. As far as the price is concerned, so far not communicated, you will probably start with just under 6 - so the Tavascan - at least as a VZ, will also be the most expensive Cupra of all time. With the still young history of the new Brand however also one Statement. Will he become "one of us"?
Polemics and criticism:
While in China the battery density on 500Wh/kg lifts and above all the Networking, dedicated to connectivity and the topics of autonomous driving, CUPRA takes itself as (sorry, not counting anymore) umpteenth brand of the group now above all the design of the e-cars as an innovation indicator. Anyway; he will in China be built. Namely, only in China.
