Toyota Camry revised

Toyota's midsize sedan Camry is getting a small upgrade. Among other things, the four-door will help prevent typical intersection accidents in the future.

Toyota's large four-door sedan Camry will be launched in Germany in early 2021 with a subtle refresh. The optical measures include modified light alloy wheels, new exterior colors and minor adjustments in the front fender and the upper air opening between the headlights. Inside there is a touchscreen that has grown to 9 inches and is positioned higher for the infotainment system, which should work faster and offers Apple Carplay and Android Auto. There is also a choice of two new leather appointments in beige or black as well as two new decorations for the dashboard and door panels - black wood or the so-called "Titanium Line Pattern".

In addition, the Safety Sense safety package has new functions such as an intersection assistant that is designed to prevent accidents when turning with oncoming vehicles and pedestrians. In addition, emergency steering assistance helps when avoiding obstacles, the cruise control cooperates with traffic sign recognition and a new lane departure warning keeps the Camry better on course. As before, the sedan in Germany is powered by a 160 kW / 218 hp hybrid drive with a 2,5-liter gasoline engine. There is still no information about the price for the new model year. The big Japanese is currently starting at around 39.000 euros.
