With a new drive combination, new exterior color, new leather variant and new equipment extras, the Toyota RAV4 drives into model year 2014. With this, the fourth model generation of the compact SUV founder, launched in the spring of 2013, once again presents a higher quality and more attractive.
The most important novelty is the extension of the four-wheel drive variants: The 2,0-liter D-4D turbo diesel engine with 91 kW / 124 PS can be ordered from the end of 2013 also in conjunction with the four-wheel drive Integrated Dynamic Drive System. Under normal driving conditions, only the front wheels are driven in favor of the lowest possible fuel consumption. For trips off the beaten track, the driver can lock the power distribution via the lock switch in the fixed ratio of 50: 50. This mode can be used up to 40 km / h, at higher speeds the system automatically returns to normal driving mode.
