Toyota RAV4 with new diesel four-wheel drive combination

With a new drive combination, new exterior color, new leather variant and new equipment extras, the Toyota RAV4 drives into model year 2014. With this, the fourth model generation of the compact SUV founder, launched in the spring of 2013, once again presents a higher quality and more attractive.

Under normal driving conditions, only the front wheels are driven in favor of the lowest possible fuel consumption. For trips off the beaten track, the driver can lock the power distribution via the lock switch in the fixed ratio of 50: 50. This mode can be used up to 40 km / h, at higher speeds the system automatically returns to normal driving mode. The force distribution between front and rear axle can be varied in the ratio of 100: 0 to 50: 50.

The new four-wheel drive version is offered in conjunction with a manual six-speed gearbox. Of the D-4D diesel engine develops a maximum torque of 310 Nm between 1.600 and 2.400 rpm and emits only 136 grams of CO2 per kilometer in the new AWD version*1.

For model year 2014, Toyota is also introducing the new exterior color Ristrettobraun metallic for the RAV4 as well as new 18-alloy wheels in ten-spoke design with milled and painted finish. The interior of the highest trim level Executive is standard in anthracite-colored leather and ordered from model year 2014 in beige.
