Whoever is allowed to sit in the back right of the car has made it - especially in the chauffeur limousine country of China. In the space behind the passenger seat, the corresponding vehicles offer space to stretch out the legs or a table to put down the laptop. The Swedish automaker Volvo has consistently thought through and cleared out the feel-good room for high earners: Instead of the front passenger seat, the interior called "Lounge Console" has more space for the executive chair.
The concept presented at “Auto China” (until May 4) is based on the interior of the Volvo S90 Excellence, the top model of the new luxury sedan. By eliminating the front passenger seat, the passenger on the rear right not only has an unrestricted view to the front and space to place his feet on a heated stool. You can also set up a large screen that can be used for mail correspondence or video streaming, as required. Massage function and a refrigerator between the seats are also part of the equipment.
At the moment the interior is still a concept, but not very far from reality. Especially with regard to the Chinese market, one seriously thinks about a series application, it says at the Swedish manufacturer.
