Mercedes-Benz unpacks the hammer: S65 AMG

With an eight-cylinder turbo in the Mercedes-Benz S63 you could already impress my colleagues. The driving report by author Ralf Bernert clearly showshow convincingly 585 hp compete in the new S-Class. But the crowning glory of automotive engineering is and will be the twelve-cylinder engine, and because the S-Class is supposed to be nothing less than “the best automobile in the world”, the twelve-cylinder must be in the nose of the most powerful S of all time.

630 PS in the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG

With regard to the automatic transmission, the limits for series Mercedes are currently set at 1.000 Nm power. The performance of the 6.0 V12 Bi-Turbo is 630 PS. An understatement in terms of driving performance should be sovereign. Also new and a premiere in the S-Class will be the head-up display and a touchpad for operating the Comand system. Even before both feature in the next year new C-Class (W205) come to series use, Mercedes is presenting both highlights in the S-Class. In this way, one in Stuttgart remains true to the idea that an S-Class always has to be “THE” technology leader in the group. Sporty around every corner The S65 will also be produced in series via the "Magic Body Control ”chassis feature. Even in the test with the new S-Class as S500, this “seeing chassis” was completely convincing.
