The sporty offshoot of the Seat brand is currently testing a new top version in the Cupra Formentor. So far, the Cupra Formentor has only been available as a four-cylinder with a displacement of 2.0 l.
The first prototypes with a five-cylinder and a slightly modified exhaust system have now been caught on the Nordschleife. The five-cylinder not only sounds great in the Cupra Formentor, but also gives it an extra plus in performance. The stacked tailpipes are currently more reminiscent of Lexus, but maybe they are not ready for series production and the design is still being changed.
The performance of the Cupra Formentor with a 5-cylinder turbo engine should be based on the 400 PS brand of the Audi RS4 and also offer more than 450 Newton meters.
The market launch of the Top Formentor is set for mid-2021. So the current plans.
