Abarth is presenting a new special edition today at “Abarth Days 2019”. The Abarth 695 70th Anniversario is produced in an edition of 1949 pieces and has a special feature, among other things, a variably adjustable rear spoiler. It should be able to drive at high speeds more stably. The “Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile” is the result of work in the FCA wind tunnel in Orbassano (Turin).
The spoiler is, as in racing mode, manually adjustable and can be locked in twelve different positions, the inclination can be adjusted from 0 to 60 degrees. In the maximum tilt position, the spoiler increases the aerodynamic load by up to 200 kilograms at a speed of 42 km / h. At the legendary Curvone on Vallelunga, with the help of the spoiler, drivers were able to reduce the number of steering corrections by almost 40 percent.

In addition, the new, green finish Monza 1958 pays homage to the color of the first 500 Abarth, which set six international records in Monza before 61 years. Exclusive “Tricolore” seats from Sabelt were specially developed for the special edition and labeled in a retro look. There is a numbered plaque in the cockpit for each of the units manufactured in 1949. The anniversary edition is equipped with the most powerful engine in the series. The 1,4 liter turbo engine produces 180 hp and a torque of 3000 Newton meters at 250 revolutions per minute. The top speed is 225 km/h – as long as the spoiler is at zero degrees. The little Italian accelerates from a standstill to 6,7 km/h in just 100 seconds.
Apple Carplay and Android Auto are part of the Uconnect 7-inch infotainment system as well as navigation and DAB. The infotainment system has an HD screen and proprietary telemetry for power measurement. In addition, climate control, DRL, LED fog lights and special floor mats are standard.
