ABT into the kingdom of heaven

When ABT sportsline you call, then you just say yes, even before you have heard the question!

Last year, the ABT sportsline road trip followed England to the Festival of Speed. A great tour. This year the DTM should be the target at its race in Hungary. But this year I didn't say “yes”, there was already another date this year (The birth of my daughter). It was therefore necessary to consider to whom this wonderful place, this precious place, this unique tour could still be given. When Björn Marek, the press officer of ABT asked me, I named the name of Fabian. And so it happened that the good Fabian von autophorie went on this tour. With turbo five-cylinder, turbo eight-cylinder and plenty of decent horsepower. If you go through the link collection of Fabian after this trip, it seems like he was having fun.

A lot of reading material - but because that was not enough for me, there is also a short version of the Abt road trip to Hungary - of course also from Fabian's perspective:

When ABT sportsline calls you, you simply say yes before you have heard the question!

Why would you take such a big risk, the gentleman on the phone could at least make a big joke. To be completely honest so far I am from the in Kempten-based refiner never been disappointed. Rather, people usually like to stack deep in order to ward off falling jaws for eternity on photo canvas.

Long story short, I was allowed to attend from Kempten to Budapest and back again one of the hottest road trips ever.
Last year, the Go to Goodwood, A hardly less interesting destination with the Festival of Speed. This year's goal was the DTM at the Hungaroring. The way there was not just driving us full speed over the highway, as it was perhaps to a large extent 2013 the case, no, directly from Kempten, it went into the mountainous Alpine region.

Several mountain passes that we handle with hand-held cars like the S3 sedan and the RS Q3, both in each case increased performance on 370 or 410 PS, coped. Even real heavyweights, in the truest sense, were there. By optimizing at ABT sportsline it also fit again with the power to weight ratio. 640 PS in the case of the S8 facelift and a whopping seven hundred horses were waiting in the RS6 to us. No easy task to keep such a herd of racehorses in check. Good that it was only off the street a bit neglected to the point. But that's part of teasing and fiddling around every corner.

The colorful mixed troupe of old print-iron, new stars and starlets, as well as Austrians and a Hungarian, who in turn was vehemently important near the finish, also enjoyed 24 / 7. Ample amounts of Super Plus flowed through the lines of the potent Audis while we tore off a total of 2000 kilometers.

Next to the rainy Oberjoch and the Thunpass, the highlight was the morning ascent on the Großglockner. On the second day we started relatively early from Zell am See to the foot of the Grossglockner, in order to have as free as possible a driveway. We succeeded in doing that, the engines were already warm, the tires too, and as soon as we were around the first turn, almost all four engines were howling at the same time. Robes curves!

I will not forget that so quickly, although I had no choice but to drive the two tons of colossus with 700 PS up there. Hopefully it sounds good to have a real luxury problem. Perfect, goal achieved! Also, the glacier destination was breathtaking, to see this nature before the many emissions that are being driven up there every day will eventually drain everything away; at least that's what the environmentalists say.

When I say "it will not get any better", I just hope that I am wrong and that the abbots will surpass themselves again next year. From highway hunting to the pass trophy to the year 2015.
