Aspark Owl - The fastest car in the world from 0 to 100

"The fastest car in the world to reach 100 kph", writes the Japanese Aspark group on its website. Rumors and videos have been circulating online for a long time, according to which the Aspark Owl is said to be the fastest all-electric super sprinter on the vehicle market.

[dropcap size=big]1,89[/dropcap]In less than two seconds, in 1,89 seconds to be precise, the electric hypercar sprints to the 100 km/h mark. Body, chassis and most of the components consist exclusively of high quality carbon fiber materials. Four extremely powerful electric motors drive the Aspark. It features a torque vectoring system, a powerful battery system and a handcrafted interior.

However, in order to turn this into the acceleration performance that makes it the fastest sprinter, the Aspark uses capacitors, among other things. For this purpose, the braking energy is stored and retrieved at lightning speed via the capacitors.

Lightweight construction with a total weight of less than 1000 kilos

The hypercar builders from the Middle Kingdom state that the top speed is around 280 km/h. Despite its extreme acceleration, the range of the Japanese owl is only 150 kilometers. The production version with a new interior and exterior design and significantly improved driving performance is limited to just 50 vehicles worldwide.

The body of the Aspark Owl is made of carbon fiber. Its flat design is unusual. A large rear wing towers over everything. It is also responsible for the contact pressure on the rear axle. The performance of the hypercar, which weighs less than 1000 kilograms, should not go into smoke but into propulsion.

Production is to take place in collaboration with Manifattura Automobili Torino in Turin, Italy and with the support of Aspark development centers around the world.

Current price of the Aspark Owl

When the electric acceleration wonder was presented, the purchase price was still 3,5 million euros. The Owl is currently priced at 2,9 million euros. According to Aspark, the first deliveries will start in the second quarter of 2020. It remains to be seen whether it will remain the vehicle with the fastest acceleration until then.
