Audi is presenting a small series of the A8 L W12 at the IAA in Frankfurt. The long version of the A8 is aimed at an exclusive circle of enthusiasts. The interior of the A8 sedan, which bears the “Audi exclusive concept” label, is elaborately refined – with leather from the luxury brand Poltrona Frau and inlays in natural olive ash.
The Audi A8, Audi's flagship, fascinates even in series production due to its high level of workmanship. In the interior, its manufacturing level can be experienced with all the senses. With the A8 L W12 Audi exclusive concept, the Ingolstadt carmaker pushes the effort even further.
Audi A8 long version
The seats are covered with cognac-colored leather from the Italian luxury manufacturer Poltrona Frau. This is particularly soft, evenly and naturally processed. Granite-grey tucks in the center sections of the seat and backrest set visual accents. Leather elements on numerous parts of the interior – such as the instrument panel, center console, tunnel, door panels and seat consoles – complete the equipment; even the vehicle key is leather-covered.
The decorative inlays made of natural olive ash wood create an elegant contrast to the leather from Poltrona Frau. The light grey-brown veneer impresses with its fine grain and its natural, slightly rough surface as well as a silver accent in the pores, which refines the look of the wood. It is used in many areas - as an insert in the seat backs, for example, on the front of the cockpit, in the door panels or on the large storage and control consoles in the rear.
Door sill panels with the lettering "Audi exclusive concept", a high-pile carpet and floor mats in exclusive quality round off the interior.
The A8 L W12 Audi exclusive concept will be produced in a strictly limited number of 50 units, each vehicle will have a plaque with the consecutive serial number. After the Audi Q7, this is the second series of vehicles under the exclusive label. Audi plans to have other models follow.
