Motorway vignettes abroad

Anyone who wants to use the motorways in Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland will soon need new stickers.

The annual vignettes for Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland expire at the end of the month. According to the ADAC, only the new vignettes for 2021 will be recognized from February.

Anyone who has not affixed a valid sticker to the windshield can expect high fines. In Slovenia this can be up to 500 euros. In Switzerland it is 180 euros, in Austria at least 120 euros. If manipulation is suspected, it becomes more expensive.

In Austria, the vignette prices have increased slightly compared to the previous year, they are now 92,50 euros for the year-round variant for cars. Drivers who need an annual vignette for Switzerland pay 38,50 euros. In Slovenia, one year car toll costs 110 euros.
