Who the new edition of the BMW Looking forward to 5, can already think about a dynamic upgrade. As part of the Essen Motor Show, the Munich-based company is showing its M-Perfomance package for the new generation of the business sedan, which, in addition to enhancing the look, also offers a few extra horsepower.
Black sill attachments, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, foils with M-Performance lettering or a black front grille provide more muscles. The customer can also order 20-inch wheels in double-spoke design with 245/35 tires at the front and 275/30 tires at the rear. The M rims put the optional performance brake system in the limelight, the perforated lightweight brake discs in front of which are painted by red-painted four-piston fixed calipers, while a single-piston fist caliper brake is used at the rear.
You can also order performance kits from M Performance. In the case of the 540i there is an increase by 25 kW / 34 hp to 265 kW / 360 hp and by 50 to 500 Newton meters in combination with a specially tuned silencer system. A power kit is also available for the 530d, which ensures an increase of 20 kW / 27 hp to 215 kW / 292 hp and 30 to 650 Nm of torque. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
