Where the Historic Ice Trophy was held not long ago, someone else was making a splash. Hermann Maier, an Austrian skiing and wind sports legend, did the honors and spurred on the French super sports car.
The engine of the Bugatti Chiron, an 8-liter W16 engine with an output of 1.500 hp and a torque of 1.600 Nm, is located directly behind the monocoque. It not only gives the vehicle ideal weight distribution. It also drives all four wheels and is thus responsible for the absence of uncomfortable understeer.

The organizers had kindly reopened and prepared the route for their local alpine skiing hero. And the competitive spirit that had once hoisted him to the Olympus of winter sports reappeared. Hermann Maier wanted more.
So he turned his pirouettes and did skillful drifts with the Bugatti Chiron on the snow-covered underground of ice.
