The ADAC Zurich 24h race at the Nürburgring: The schedule

The “Green Hell”, that's how the Nordschleife is often called by motorsport fans and those who occasionally heat the Nürburgring privately. Not without good reason, after all, the racetrack is considered the most demanding in the world and has already made many sacrifices. It gets all the more exciting every year when the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring comes up again, as the number of failures increases, especially at night. So everyone who survives the race - more or less unscathed - is a winner. In any case, the race is a material battle. We take a look at the schedule for the 44th long-distance race in the Eifel.

It starts on Thursday, May 26th. The circuit challenge on the Nordschleife starts early in the morning at 08 a.m. and is followed by free practice of the Audi TT Sport Cup, which starts two hours later. Overall, this day is completely characterized by training and qualifying drives. The WTCC / ETCC test start on Thursday, while qualifying for the ADAC 00h Classic race begins at 13:15 p.m. Friday is also marked by training and qualification drives. However, the Audi TT Sport Cup is also starting its first race, which starts at 24:11 am and lasts only half an hour. In addition, the 55-minute classic race begins on Friday.

It will be really interesting on Saturday, May 28th. Shortly after eight the warm-up for the ADAC Zurich 24h race at the Nürburgring starts, which takes up its starting grid shortly before two in the afternoon. In between, the second race of the Audi Sport TT Cup and two races of the WTCC / ETCC will take place before the starting lap of the legendary 15h race begins at 10:24 p.m. At 15:30 p.m., the air will heat up particularly well: The starting gun for the main event will be given. Only on Sunday at the same time will it be known who will be the winner. There are of course favorites already, but you should never do the math without the famous Eifel weather.
