The Jensen Interceptor R rolls onto the sports car stage as a Viperceptor

One of the iconic British sports cars of the '60s and '70s is about to be reborn. Jensen International Automotive Ltd. is celebrating a comeback on the sports car stage with the Jensen Interceptor R. The legendary Interceptor was originally hand built in Great Britain between 1966 and 1976.

Powered by a 6,3 liter V8 engine, later with a more powerful 7,2 liter V8 engine with 350 hp.

Jensen Interceptor R

Brook Anderson, a big enthusiast and fan of the Jensen brand, wanted to create a new GT model with an Italian design and also take the engine to a higher level. The heart of the new Interceptor R is an 8,3 liter V10 engine with 510 hp from the Dodge Viper. The engine delivers an impressive torque of 720 Nm to the rear axle.

In addition to a new suspension, the Interceptor R has an improved braking system that is appropriate for the engine performance. Larger wheels complete the new concept and modernization of the Interceptor to the "Viperceptor".

They plan to officially launch the new Jensen in July this year at a price of around 120.000 euros. There are enough fans of the Jensen brand. Therefore, the remake of the Jensen Interceptor R should become a sought-after automotive object.
