DARDA - The car toy experts from my childhood, they are back!
DARDA sent one of the new game sets to my-auto-blog and asked us to also take part in the # German Darda championship! And you know, we face every challenge. In this case, however, it was not about “assembling” the DARDA track, no, it turns out to be child's play and “blogger-safe”. We should wind up our DARDA racers, let them do two laps, then remove the engine, reinstall the engine and put the racer back on the track. And the total time from the two laps of the racer on its synthetic track, our technical skills and the necessary teamwork, that should count.
Motorsport is only possible in a team!
The mein-auto-blog team was in this case owned by my 18 month old daughter, my wife (more than 18 months) and me (don't ask that!) educated. I just have to take part in such a challenge. After several days of intensive training. Okay, it wasn't 5 rounds, but I had a lot of fun with the stable components and my daughter. Because it has always clawed individual sections of the route and has run away with it.
No matter - in the end what counts is what comes out behind. Or so!
Our racing car is the green and yellow DTM Audi with the Schäffler paintwork. Alternatively, a DTM Mercedes would have been available. While the DTM-Mercedes was driven by Vitaly Petrov, our DTM-Schaeffler Audi was the company car of “Rocki” (Mike Rockenfäller). The result should prove us right.
After an exciting and riotous training session, yes, it was a rainy Sunday, that's why you build children's toys in the apartment, the DTM-Audi, which was technically prepared by DARDA, started.

DARDA racers are raised by pushing the car down and then pulling it backwards. Then put it on the launch pad, press the green “GO” button, and the rocket goes off. 960 km / h fast. So in theory. The DARDA cars are 1:60. Anyone who has mastered the rule of three now knows the answer to “real speed”. But in the plastic tracks and the looping everything counts twice, three times and more!
