As soon as someone asks me about a particularly respected tuner for Audi and Volkswagen, I usually answer: Abt. The company founded by Johannes Abt from the Allgäu is not only the successful team for the manufacturer Audi in the DTM, but also successfully specializes in the individual Brands from the Volkswagen Group. ABT AS3
ABT Sportsline presents the new AS3 at the Essen Motor Show in an extremely sporty version: The compact athlete on the new MQB platform is presented in a phantom black finish and stands confidently in front of visitors to one of the world's largest tuning fairs.
All ABT body add-on parts are contrastingly rich in a noble anthracite, front grill, mirror glass and also the floor mats adorn the logo of the world's largest refiner of vehicles from the Volkswagen group. The ABT DR aluminum rims in 19 inches are part of the breathtaking package of this special ABT AS3.
The technicians from ABT have done a great job with the new series of the AS3 - the engines are even more lively, strengthened in the draft and power the sporty premium compact. The currently most powerful variant of the ABT Sportsline is 170 PS or 125 kW. The performance improvements are currently being put through their paces, but the 2.0 TDI of the new Audi A3 is already showing itself to be powerful and powerful. The smaller and more economical turbo gasoline engine is also fun. It is the perfect mix of reason and sportiness: 160 PS or 118 kW (series: 122 PS / 90 kW) ensure proper propulsion. With both engines, the sporty compact also becomes a “lifestyle pack donkey” that accelerates properly when fully loaded.
Front grills, fender inserts and front spoilers give the AS3 a more powerful and at the same time more present appearance. In conjunction with the side skirts, the result is a confident and harmonious image. True to the motto "a beautiful back can delight", ABT has designed the rear of the new Audi A3 very sportily: the rear apron insert, the striking rear silencer with the two double tailpipes and the rear spoiler demonstrate the aesthetics of a winner.
To match this, ABT Sportsline recommends its design wheels from the CR and DR model series in 18 or 19 inches. Of course, the elegant rims are also available in conjunction with premium tires.
The new ABT AS3 is an all-round athlete - nothing more, but nothing less.
