Almost every third private car is registered to a female owner. In the case of leased vehicles, the proportion of women is only 13 percent, as the portal “Leasingmarkt.de” has determined. When it comes to vehicle taste, however, there are similarities between the sexes: the VW Golf is the most popular model with men and women, and the Cupra Formentor also makes it into the top 5 with both men, however, men tend to choose models with more horsepower. On average, they lease vehicles with 186 hp, while the ladies' cars have 156 hp. When it comes to the e-car quota, men are 22 percent ahead of women with 15 percent.
