The ghost driver warner from Bosch is to move into the infotainment systems of new cars in the future. According to the supplier, the supplier is in talks with numerous car manufacturers who want to offer the technology as standard. However, the Stuttgart company does not name a time for the introduction.
So far, the system only exists in the form of a warning app for the smartphone. The cloud-based service compares the current direction of travel with a database to identify ghost drives and warn the driver. According to the company, the function can currently be used in 13 European countries.
