GLC Coupe with more Muckis! The forty-third!

Its 3.0 liter V6 turbo is not screwed together by hand and yet it is allowed to carry the AMG logo. 367 hp and agility clearly designed for “on-road performance” allow the balancing act, the dance on the line, between the worlds. SUV habit, sports car genes and as a result a “Schnellweg-Räumwagen”.

Dare more sport

520 Nm are a real argument. Thanks to the boost pressure, which has been increased to 1.1 bar, there are enough power reserves to turn an SUV into "sports equipment". Mercedes-Benz is driving the transformation of the brand at full throttle through all segments. The extension of the AMG genes to the “smaller” house numbers opens up new groups of buyers. And an SUV with AMG power, that was what many wanted in the past. It's only logical to take this step now with the GLC Coupé!

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC comes with the modern 9-speed automatic and the all-wheel drive is designed to be extremely active. The Air Body Control (air suspension), which has been further developed by AMG, virtually sheds the pounds and is intended to help the sporty SUV coupé to experience new limits in driving dynamics. More camber on the axles and a more rigid design of the suspension elements lead to more fun on bends and a more manageable driving experience. The ability to adjust the driving dynamics setup using a button is another feature of the infinitely variable variability. 4 levels are possible from Comfort to Sport plus. Rolling and pitching movements are what you want to have completely under control with air suspension.

The standard AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive combines the best possible traction, typical AMG driving dynamics and the highest level of driving pleasure. The system is characterized by the rear-biased torque distribution of 31 percent on the front axle to 69 percent on the rear axle. This design ensures more driving dynamics and higher lateral acceleration on the road as well as improved traction, because it uses the dynamic axle load shift towards the rear axle that occurs during acceleration in order to transfer more drive torque there. A multi-plate clutch with a 50 Nm locking effect guarantees, especially on snow and ice, that the traction potential of all four wheels is fully developed. The all-wheel drive reacts to road surfaces with different levels of grip with targeted braking interventions on one wheel in order to guarantee optimum traction. It takes around 0 seconds to reach Temp100 4.9 - an impressive figure for a 1.8 ton sports SUV. By the way, at 250 km / h it ends with funny, then it is electronically limited.

No savings were made on the brakes! A large-sized brake system with internally ventilated composite brake discs should ensure reliable and stable deceleration. 19-inch wheels with mixed tires rotate in series in the wheel arches. 235 millimeters on the front and 255 tires on the rear axle. Wheels up to 21 inches are possible on request and at an additional cost.

Incidentally, the ground clearance of the sporty AMG SUV can still be varied at the push of a button and the GLC should not create a feeling of total listlessness for off-road adventures. But: dare to do sports - a little more on the road than “off the road”.

The new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé will celebrate its world premiere on September 28, 2016 as part of the Paris Motor Show. The sales release will take place on October 06, 2016, the market launch will begin in December 2016.
