Cheaper and new basic variant

The competition among electric vehicles is increasing. Nissan reacts and lowers the prices of the Leaf. And brings stripped-down versions.

Nissan offers its Stromer Leaf at cheaper prices. The models with the 40 kWh battery and the 110 kW / 150 PS electric motor are cheaper by 3.600 euros each on all equipment lines, those with the 62 kWh battery (160 kW / 217 hp) each by 4.800 euros. In addition, Nissan is adding a new basic equipment to the program, so that the official list price for the Leaf now starts at 29.990 euros (40 kWh). The stronger Stromer is now available from 38.200 euros.

The new basic version “Visia Option” for the 40 kWh-Leaf does without a mode 1 charging cable compared to the previous entry-level version “ZE3”, instead a charging cable for the household socket is included. The AC charging power is only 3,6 instead of 6,6 kW as with the "ZE1". In addition, there is no need for a heat pump to reduce energy consumption, and the basic version has steel rims. A smartphone connection using Apple Carplay or Android Auto, like the Nissan Connect EV multimedia system, is not part of the standard scope of delivery.

The entry-level comfort level (Acenta Option) for the Leaf with the large battery is based on the "ZE1" level, ie has a mode 3 cable, the 6,6 kW onboard charger, a heat pump and Nissan Connect EV with reversing camera on board. In addition, 17-inch aluminum and an adaptive speed and distance assistant are available as standard. The other equipment lines of the Leaf remain unchanged in the program.
