High-end audio celebrates its premiere in the Lotus Emira

The brand Lotus is changing. The Emira is the first Sportcars the realignment. He is also heading in a new direction with the audio system.

The audio expert KEF, best known for its loudspeakers, has developed a sound system for a car manufacturer for the first time. The system is celebrating its premiere in the new Lotus Emira, which will be launched on the market in 2022. The KEF solution is embedded in the infotainment system and is controlled accordingly via the 10,25-inch touchscreen in the center console. An integrated loudspeaker chassis was developed in cooperation with Lotus. The audio system in the Emira has 10-channel sound and so-called Uni-Q technology. Uni-Q allows the entire medium and high frequency spectrum to be reproduced from a single point in the room, which should enable a realistic sound experience.

The new Emira is a mid-engined sports car around 4,40 meters long and costing at least 72.000 euros. Lotus will optionally offer the flat runabout with an AMG four-cylinder or a V6 from Toyota. The power spectrum should be between 360 and 400 hp.
