Center 2017 poses Hyundai the new edition of the compact i2017 launched in January 30 the new estate version to the side. For around 19.000 Euro this offers a generously dimensioned trunk and a comprehensive already in the basic version safety equipment.
While the previous i30 station wagon offered a dramatically staged outer skin with many beads and character lines, the new edition relies on calm and elegant design. The Korean stretched on 4,59 meter length pleases with a functional lines, discreet chrome trim and a slightly sloping roofline to the rear.
The design, however, hardly affects the utility, because behind the tailgate opens up a large 602 liter standard trunk. Classically, the backrests of the rear seat in the ratio 60 to 40 can be repositioned, whereby the luggage compartment grows up to 1.650 liters. Incidentally, this is more than the VW Golf Estate, which offers a 605 to 1.620 liter luggage compartment. In addition, the i30 under the trunk floor has a few more storage compartments for small items. An 12-Volt socket and a rail system for better locking of load complete the everyday benefits.
In the drive range, the station wagon offers the same portfolio as the sedan. The three petrol engines deliver 74 kW / 100 PS to 103 kW / 140 PS, the three diesel engines cover a performance spectrum from 70 kW / 95 PS to 100 kW / 136 PS. Some of the engines can be combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The equipment levels Pure, Select, Trend, Style and Premium are similar to those of the saloon. Even the basic version offers upscale safety features, which include, among others, collision avoidance (up to 75 km / h), lane keeping and high-beam assistant and a fatigue warning.
