Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid - More equipment and higher prices

Three years after the market launch, Hyundai has refreshed its hybrid model Ioniq. Customers receive more equipment, but also have to pay more.

Hyundai raises the prices for the revised and from summer available hybrid models of the Ioniq. The pure hybrid version costs from 25.800 Euro, the plug-in version at least 32.000 Euro. That's 1.000 or 2.100 Euro more than before.

An improvement in connectivity is achieved through the integration of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay

Externally, the refreshed models feature a honeycomb grille, new graphics for front, rear and daytime running lights, as well as new wheel designs and colors. The interior includes an 8-inch touch display as standard. An improvement in connectivity is achieved through the integration of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. In addition, the SmartSense assistance package has additional functions. The emergency brake assistant now also responds to pedestrians and cyclists, and the adaptive cruise control system allows stop-and-go driving in traffic jams. The package also includes traffic sign recognition and an active lane departure warning. With the plug-in model, the strength of the recuperation brake can now be adjusted with switch pedals on the steering wheel, just like the pure battery electric Ioniq.

The drive remains unchanged. In both models comes from a 1,6-liter gasoline direct injection engine and an electric motor hybrid drive on a system performance of 104 kW / 141 PS. The plug-in version can drive as far as 63 kilometers far purely electrically.

Hyundai is offering an 5 year warranty on the Ioniq alongside the usual 8 year warranty for new cars, or up to 200.000 kilometers of mileage on the high-voltage battery.
