IAA 2015 - The Honda study: Project 2 × 4

A concept vehicle hardly bigger than a kart. At around 400 kilograms, the “Project 2 × 4” presented by HONDA is one of the extreme concept vehicles at the IAA 2015. To complete the name, after the Project 2 × 4, you need a “powered by RC213V ”And then the connoisseur will immediately understand what the concept is about! Two-wheel fun on four wheels.

IAA2015: Project 2 × 4 powered by RC213V

No SUV, no four-wheel drive, no comfort. Just driving fun. If you look at the martial single-seater, you will find a V4 engine from Dani Pedrosa's MotoGP racer. With 215 hp at 13.000 revs, the engine is also reminiscent of the glorious V12 engines of the Formula era. A six-speed dual clutch transmission is supposed to portion the power to the rear axle.

It is unlikely that this concept car will ever be ready for series production - as sad as that is. The MotoGP engines last barely more than 2.000 kilometers, while driving on the country road would be huge, but also costly.

Anyone visiting the IAA in Frankfurt in the coming days should still note the HONDA stand on the notepad. With all the urge to downsize, Euro NCAP results and NEDC standard consumption, this concept makes us dream of driving fun.
