Jaguar Reimagine - Jaguar goes 100% electric

With the new global strategy "Reimagine" Jaguar Land Rover wants to reposition itself. Jaguar plans to become an all-electric luxury brand by 2025 and to completely reposition itself. With Jaguar Reimagine, the British company wants to set new standards for a luxury company in terms of environmental and social impact.

Jaguar Reimagine – An all-electric luxury brand by 2030

According to Jaguar, it will experience a renaissance by the middle of the decade. As a purely electric luxury brand with a new portfolio that combines emotionally appealing design and advanced technologies. The new offer may also include a model called Jaguar XJ.

Jaguar's roadmap also states that every series will be offered with fully electric drives. 100% of all Jaguar vehicle sales are to be pure electric models by 2030. At Land-Rover it is still 60% of all vehicles sold.

Land Rover will be launching six all-electric models over the next five years, strengthening its position as a supplier of luxury SUVs.

The strategy: zero waste emissions at Jaguar

Jaguar wants to put this into practice with two new platforms. Firstly, the tailor-made electrical architecture called EMA (Electric Modular Architecture). As well as the second MLA platform (Modular Longitudinal Architecture). This supports longitudinally mounted electrified combustion engines as well as electric motors.

The focus at Jaguar is clearly on sustainability, ecology and social responsibility. Jaguar aims to be a zero emissions company by 2039. According to Jaguar, fuel cell drives are under development in order to be prepared for future demand.

The 'Reimagine' strategy involves re-tailoring, re-focusing and re-organizing Jaguar Land Rover. One wants to make the company more agile. Flatter structures should enable employees to work and make decisions faster and more goal-oriented.

To speed up this process, Jaguar Land Rover to significantly rationalize its non-production infrastructure in the UK. The technology and development center in Gaydon will become the new headquarters.
