There is still room below the classic compact SUV segment. Kia fills this with a higher-placed crossover version of the Ceed.
Kia adds the compact Ceed family to an SUV. The crossover places itself between the smaller Stonic and the 4,50 meter model Sportage and competes in this niche against competitors such as the VW T-Roc. The market launch could take place later this year.
After five-door, station wagon and shooting brake, the crossover is the fourth body variant in the 2018 renewed Ceed series. At least a part of the drive technology is likely to be taken from the sister models, which are to have diesel and gasoline in the power range of 73 kW / 100 PS to 103 kW / 140 PS. Whether four-wheel drive is offered as an option is still unclear. Prices are likely to start at around 20.000 Euro.
