The guys from the car & travel blog on-the-road-again.eu show that “rally” doesn't necessarily have to mean mud and flying stones with their interpretation of the rally concept as a motorized scavenger hunt.
Rally? Scavenger hunt? I beg your pardon?
For the 2019er version participants, in teams consisting of two drivers and one car, there are three stages to be approached on four days and challenges to be met on the way there. For example, there are points for refueling the cheapest fuel, the least consumption or a dip in the local kitchen. The ingenious concept offers both stage-related tasks and those that span the entire event, allowing participants to win with a variety of strategies.
Above all, the challenge is to come up with a suitable strategy for the approximately 1.500-km-long route, keep a close eye on competitors and use smart tactics to win and defend points. Only then can you win the title of "Official Rally Champion" and take the trophy home.
Off in the wild ... southeast!
This year the pilots are going to Southeastern Europe. After the start in Nuremberg on Thursday, the 30. In May, each stage will take one day each to Ljubljana, Budapest and Prague. However, in the Hungarian capital, the field of participants spends - and this is an innovation this year - a presence day and solves tasks on foot or by public transport.
The adventurous rally drivers are supported by their best friend, the road book, as well as the rallye management system heRMeS, which specifically creates and evaluates the driving performance, calculates the points and determines the placements. They will be accompanied on the 4 days but also by the experienced Orga-Team of On The Road Again, which is organizing a rally for the fifth time.

If the rally gene slumbers in you as well and long stages in the car cause a grin rather than a cold sweat, you too can be at the start this year! If you two, both at least 21 years old and both are in possession of a class B EU driving license and has a car to 3,5 tons, OTRA is looking forward to your application.
