More power for the Mercedes flagship

The new S-Class has barely been on the market for a quarter of a year when there are already retrofittable extra horsepower for the luxury class sedan. And you can also screw on the optics.

Brabus has presented its tuning program for the newly launched Mercedes S-Class. In addition to more horsepower, there are aerodynamic kits, extra-large rims and interior upgrades for the luxury sedan.

By means of chip tuning, the Bottropers elicit up to 320 kW / 435 PS and 3,0 Nm of torque from the 500-liter six-cylinder petrol engine of the S 368 ex works with 500 kW / 590 PS. The 3,0-liter six-cylinder diesel in the S 400 d receives 40 extra horsepower and, after intervening in the engine management, comes to 272 kW / 370 hp. Further performance levels are to follow.

The refinement can be supplemented with an aerodynamic kit, which includes a front spoiler and a modified front apron. At the rear there is an insert for the rear bumper, which can be combined with the optionally available black chrome-plated tailpipe trims. A rear spoiler lip in carbon fiber should be available shortly.

The range is completed by light alloy wheels in 19, 20 or 21 inch diameters, a 25 millimeter lowering for the air suspension and a range of trim parts for the interior. These include shadow chrome coating for all switches and carbon elements on the dashboard. Brabus does not name prices for the refinement, the basic vehicle costs from 107.814 euros.
