Once again, a car does not celebrate its premiere at a trade fair, but when there is a “leak” on the Internet. The youngest candidate is the fresh Mercedes-AMG SL 65 Roadster. Actually, it shouldn't have rolled into the public eye until the next week in Los Angeles at the auto show.
Premiere: Mercedes-AMG SL65
The V12 version of the Roadster represents the top of the SL range. Its V12 Bi-Turbo is probably, it is not known to date, have around 650 HP and here too the upper limit of the torque is determined by the transmission, so it is stay at 1.000 Nm.
The V65 and V8 versions of the Mercedes roadster bustle beneath the Mercedes-AMG SL6. Technically and optically significantly optimized, 9-speed automatic and Dynamic Select driving programs will also find their way into the Roadster.
The SL also takes over the active body control functions of the S-Coupé and will thus be the first large sports roadster to be available with an active cornering function. The hood of the roadster can be opened and closed up to speed 40.
Newly designed front and rear views rejuvenate the look of the SL and adapt it to the current design language of the other Mercedes models.
