Its roadster models offers Mercedes now also available in the Red Art (SLC) and Designo Edition (SL). The variants upgraded in terms of appearance and equipment start at around 39.000 or 117.000 Euro.
For the smaller Roadster SLC, Mercedes has launched the equipment package Red Art Edition, which, among other things, adds a touch of dynamism to the exterior look. There are eight exterior colors to choose from. Dsigno paintwork in matt silver can be ordered exclusively. A gray Designo matt paint is also available especially for the SLC 43 AMG. All Red Art Edition models are characterized by red accents in the outer skin. The contrasting color can be found, among other things, in the front splitter, grille or trim in the rear diffuser.
There are also 18 inch wheels in double-spoke design and larger and perforated brake discs at the front. In the interior, there is an exclusive leather interior in black with red stitching, in addition, seat and the headroom heater Airscarf on board. In principle, the Red Art Edition can also be combined with the AMG Line equipment package, which allows an even sportier appearance. In the SLC 180 basic engine, the Red Art Edition costs around 39.000 Euro, while the top version SLC 43 AMG costs around 62.000 Euro.
Good 55.000 or 75.000 Euro more you have to pay for the models SL 400 respectively SL 500 in the Designo Edition. The special edition features metallic metallic exterior paint, AMG forged wheels (19 or 20 inches) and a number of special colored accents in the interior, such as seat belts and decorative trim in white. In addition, the Designo package includes comfort details such as the multi-contour seat with air conditioning and massage function, Airscarf and the driver assistance package, which also offers distance control and lane keeping and blind spot assist.
