Toyota is planning a fuel cell car for the moon

The vehicle is said to be around 6 meters long and 5,20 meters wide and provide around 13.000 liters of interior space. Its electric motor is powered by a fuel cell, additional energy is provided by solar cells. The lunar car will be used mainly for longer trips to 10.000 kilometers, during which the astronauts can also live in the vehicle.

So far, Toyota's experience with the fuel cell is limited to the earth. Since 2014, the Japanese offer the hydrogen sedan Mirai, for the end of the year, the idea of a successor is expected.
