Motor Show Food: Toyota GT86 CS-V3

With the much praised rear-wheel drive sports car GT86 Toyota has done everything right. The fans love the handy two-door with the boxer engine and the rear-wheel drive.

Not only I thought: This GT86 is an ideal base for grassroots sport, also Toyota sees it that way and has introduced the racing version:

Toyota GT86 CS-V3

A driving machine which should provide maximum driving pleasure despite low operating costs. The ideas that have now been implemented have already been tested on racing cars for the 24-Stunden race at the Nürburgring last year.

V3 points out:

The sharp 200-hp racer was developed for the V3 class of the VLN endurance championship, which is based at the Nürburgring, and has already been homologated by the German Motor Sport Association (DMSB) for this and various other racing series.

The race-ready TMG GT86 CS-V3 is not only an extremely competitive vehicle in its class, given a purchase price of around € 38.500 plus VAT, it is the right approach to put motorsport on a broad basis!

Racing version:

In order to turn the already much praised GT86 street racer into a racing version with real demand for top performance, TMG has stiffened the GT86 underbody, optimized the weight distribution, developed a special exhaust system and of course installed a chassis and a brake system for use is planned on the racetrack!

You are also working on a club sport variant - I was able to catch a glimpse of this version at the Bilstein stand. And when the Cup GT86 is on the BILSTEIN stand, then it is clear what suspension technology the Japanese trust - oooder?

However, if you prefer front-wheel drive, you will also find a “mini proposal”.
