FORD F-150 2015 - presented in Detroit

The new Ford F-150 was up to 320 kilograms lighter than its direct predecessor. The use of aluminum for the body of the pick-up not only ensures weight reduction of considerable magnitude, it also protects the new F-150 generation more successfully from the effects of aging metal.

Nothing has changed FORD on the basic design of the F-150, based on a ladder frame. The new F-150 thus consists of a high-strength steel ladder frame and a much lighter aluminum body. This design provides for the already legendary robustness of the F-150. Many buyers use the pick-up in rough everyday work. No matter if it comes to its convincing trailer loads, or the possibilities for transporting unwieldy goods on the large loading area.

The new Ford F-150 has a number of new technology functions on board, many of which are available for the first time in this segment.

A selection:

This view makes it easier for the driver to park, turn in tight spaces or even reverse in narrow alleys and deep ruts.

The integrated loading ramps enable quads, motorbikes or ride-on lawnmowers to be driven onto the loading area with ease. The BoxLink system optimizes load securing. With its metal rods and flexible clamps, it enables various goods to be securely attached to the loading area - such as ramps, partitions, boxes, suitcases and much more.

Headlights and rear lights in LED technology ensure very good visibility of the vehicle at night or in poor visibility. Bright, robust LED spots in the side mirrors shine closer
Environment of the pick-up effectively.

- The Trailer Hitch Assist system shows a line on the reversing camera monitor that helps the driver to drive the vehicle for
to position the hitching of a trailer. The line is recalculated depending on the steering angle, so that the driver without a guide
and can target a trailer precisely without constantly getting in and out.

- With the help of the new type of cable system between the trailer and the towing vehicle, the trailer tow module detects and reports any
Problems with the connection and the electrical equipment of the trailer. The module detects, for example, burned out or disconnected rear lights or faulty brake lights on the trailer. Up until now, the driver had to walk around the vehicle and trailer himself to identify these errors.

- The tailgate can now be locked and unlocked using the radio remote control - when unlocking, the
Safety lever open. Compared to manual locking and unlocking, this saves time and increases convenience and security. When the tailgate is opened, it slides, held in place by dampers, into a flat position flush with the loading area.

- A powerful 400 watt power connection in the driver's cab enables mobile communication devices, heavy cordless tools and battery packs to be charged while driving.

Four gasoline engines for all customer requirements

The engine range has four engine characters. Making its debut in the F-150 family is the 2,7-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine, which is equipped with an automatic start-stop system as standard.
