Nanoflowcell Quant 48Volt - Electric range giant

Savior or charlatan? At Nanoflowcell, opinions differ. Despite all the criticism, the Liechtenstein-based company in Geneva produces cars every year electric drives that sound almost too good to be true. The next concept will follow at the Swiss motor show in 2017.

The special thing about the Nanoflowcell cars: They have flow cell batteries that are not charged by cable. Instead, you have to fill up with an electrolytic liquid

Quant 48Volt is the name of the new study, which was only slightly modified in appearance compared to some of its predecessors. However, the drive technology is more important than the design of the gullwing. As before, there is a flow cell battery that generates the electricity required to drive it by refueling with an electrolytic liquid. The car does not have to be connected to the cable, but to the petrol pump. However, similar to a fuel cell, chemical reactions generate electrical current. In the case of the Quant 48Volt, a refueling should release energy for 1.000 kilometers.

The Quant 48Volt should be able to travel a good 1.000 kilometers with one tank of fuel

The Quant 48Volt is not only a marvel of range, but also a Tesla killer, because four 140 kW strong low-voltage machines are responsible for the propulsion, which together throw 560 kW / 760 PS into the propulsion. The standard sprint time of the all-wheel drive is only 2,4 seconds, the top speed is 300 km / h. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
