Above all, green electricity is needed for the mobility turnaround. At the moment, Germany is on the right track.
The share of green electricity production in Germany rose to 2019 percent in the first half of 44 thanks to solar and wind energy. As reported by the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW), renewables have increased by five percentage points compared to the same period in 2018. The ZSW primarily blames special weather conditions for the increase. The wind yields were at a high level in all months, and a new wind record was even reached in March. With regard to the mobility change, this is a positive development, because the eco-balance of future electric cars depends above all on the proportion of renewable energy sources in the electricity mix.
