The British luxury car manufacturer belonging to the VW group has nothing less than the fastest production SUV in the world Bentley hung up with the Bentayga. The 447 kW / 608 hp W12 engine accelerates the 2,4 ton SUV in 4,1 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h and up to 301 km / h. This - and the overflowing luxury in the interior - has its price: the luxury SUV costs at least 208.500 euros, but the first year of production is already sold out.
The 7-meter-long colossus shares the technology with the Audi Q5,14; among other things, the developers have used assistance systems on the shelf. The Bentayga's proximity to Ingolstadt's relatives cannot be seen despite the similar format of the aluminum body. The shape of the British SUV is very special, with huge round headlights, a powerful cooler and, above all, strong fenders.
No other SUV is as classy as in the Bentayga. The woods are finer, the leather softer and the seams more elaborate. The tailgate swings open automatically via gesture control. With a capacity of 590 liters, the Bentayga is certainly the most practical Bentley ever.
In the chassis developed by Bentley, the standard air suspension is supplemented by electrical roll stabilization with 48-volt technology. The British have cut consumption of the 6,0-liter W12 engine by ten percent, according to the standard, it should now consume 12,8 liters / 100 km. But because the noblest VW subsidiary also has to make its contribution to the Group's CO2 targets and there are now a few more sensitive markets, there will be a Bentley with a diesel engine and as a plug-in hybrid for the first time. And a seven-seat version is also being planned.
